On April 4 during U-NOVUS the Siberian Center for vibration-based diagnostics and balancing adjustment is opened at the TPU Institute of Cybernetics. It is expected to prevent many technological accidents. Among the devices - universal and special high precision balancing machines and balancing systems for counter balancing of the rotors with the mass of from a few grams up to 50 kg, portable devices for vibration measurement and analysis, balancing of the rotors in their in-house structures, diagnostics of the bearings; bench complexes and many more other equipment. The center is expected to be the base to conduct training of TPU students in all engineering directions, training and retraining of the specialists of industrial enterprises, as well as for research and development activities, including for the benefit of industrialists. There are plans to open a new master's program.
