October 22-23, 2013 the exhibition-contest of Tomsk designers was held as part of “Days of Design in Tomsk” event. This exhibition was arranged by Tomsk Regional Office of “Design Alliance of Russia” supported by Tomsk Authorities.

As a result of this exhibition, 10 works were chosen and their authors got the right to become the members of “Design Alliance of Russia”.

The contest committee members were very famous specialists in design, among them are:

• Yuriy V. Nazarov – President of “Design Alliance of Russia” (Moscow);
• Sergey M. Mikhailov – Vice-president of “Design Alliance of Russia” (Kazan);
• Evgeniy V. Parshuto – Chairman of Tomsk Regional Division of “Design Alliance of Russia” (Tomsk);
• Andrey V. Alekseev – Chairman of City Committee of Design and Advertising of Tomsk Authority, designer in chief (Tomsk).

Over 1300 works were presented in the contest in various categories. The senior teachers of the Deaprtment of Engineering Graphics and Industrial Design IC TPU, Valeria Y. Radchenko and Yuriy P. Khmelevskiy ranked among ten winners.

The students of the Department Daria Klyukvina (gr.8D00) and Taras Zheltyshev (gr. 8D21) also ranked among the winners. These students became the members of the youth section of Design Alliance of Russia.

During the panel discussion summarizing the results of Days of Design in Tomsk, the teachers and students got the Design Alliance diplomas, membership cards and numbered award pins.
