This years' summer school "Developing Mobile Applications" took place from June 2nd to June 27th. Our Canadian guest professors Gerhard Dueck and Kenneth Kent (both University of New Brunswick) hosted the sessions and coached a small group of international summer students who worked intensively on practical projects.

Topics included iPhone development (Xcode, Objective-C language, various APIs), mobile computing (survey level), HCI, low power computing, networking and client-server computing.

Two students from the Institute of Cybernetics, Kristina Tyumentseva und Liubov Ushko, represented TPU and actively participated in this summer school. It is interesting to note that our students didn't pay for this school because it was totally free and TPU's scholarship ''PLUS'' covered current expenses relating to flight and rent.
