On April 20 Teo Seng Lee – The Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Malaysia - visited the Institute of Cybernetics with the purpose to learn more about the educational programs taught in English and discuss the issues of admission to TPU, including the Institute of Cybernetics, for the students from Malaysia. During the visit the Consul visited such subdivisions as Supercomputing cluster, TPU Microsoft Innovation Center and Research and Training Center «Hughes-TPU". The departments that provide training in English for the bachelors and masters, in particular Department of Control System Optimization and Department of Automated Engineering Technology were of high interest for the Consul.

Teo Seng Lee was pleasantly surprised by the fact that TPU has the only one in Tomsk Microsoft Innovation Center on the basis of the Institute of Cybernetics, which provides high-quality training in the programs of overseas vendors for the professionals independent of their age. Also during the visit the Consul met with the heads of the above departments who informed briefly about the programs realized in English for the foreign students.

FYI: The Institute of Cybernetics provides training of the foreign undergraduate students (Bachelor degree) in 2 directions: "Computer Science" and "Mechanical Engineering" and (Master degree) in one direction: "Computer Science". These programs are accredited by various international agencies and recognized on the international labor market.
