The joint seminar of the Institute of Cybernetics and Institute of Marine Technology Problems, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, "Current state and development trends of underwater robotics" was held the other days in the main building of TPU. The main topic of discussion was the state and development trends of scientific cooperation of two research organizations in the field of underwater robotics. Also during the meeting the TPU researchers presented the first results on the main topics of the megaproject "Telecommunication systems of monitoring and control for autonomous unmanned underwater robotics", which is aimed at creation of the software and hardware for the new generation of underwater vehicles.

To remind, a research scientific laboratory of telecommunications, instrumentation and marine geology was opened jointly with the Institute of Marine Technology Problems, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences last May on the basis of the Institute of Cybernetics. This laboratory conducts basic and applied research aimed at the creation of the tools and telecommunication systems, devices and microprocessor units using, among other things, innovative developments and experience of the scientists of different TPU Institutions.
