Shchitova is a scientific supervisor of post-graduate students. The Candidate’s dissertation “Ergonyms of a Foreign Origin in the Urban Communicative Space” performed by Ekaterina S. Butakova, one of Professor Olga G. Shchitova’s post-graduate students, was successfully defended in June of 2013. Students’ scientific research Since 2009 Olga G. Shchitova has been supervising the scientific research work of both Russian and foreign students within the framework of scientific workshops “Linguistic Contactology” and “Foreign Word in Linguistic View of the World”. Students guided by Olga G. Shchitova are constant participants of scientific events, conferences and research contests. They published 10 research articles, made 29 reports at scientific conferences and received 8 awards of different levels.
