Biography 1) Biography. L.I. Semkina graduated from Tomsk Institute of Radioelectronics and Electronic Technology in 1968. In 1969 she entered the Ph.D. program at TPI. In 1974 she defended the thesis for the Ph.D. in Technical Sciences. In 1975 she was awarded the Ph.D. in Technical Sciences In 1976 she was appointed as a Teaching Assistant of the Department of General Physics at TPI. In 1979 she was appointed as an Associate Professor of the Department of General Physics. At present, she is the Assistant Head of the Department of General Physics in methodical work.

Awards received: Awards received: 1989 – The Medal "Veteran of Labor"; 2000 – The Jubilee Medal of TPU, the Tomsk Administration Certificate of Honour; 2001 - the Russian Federation Ministry Certificate of Honour. Total scientific and teaching experience is 41 year.
