The discipline "Basketball" is a variable part of the professional cycle, it promotes the formation of professional competencies. For the most efficient and successful development of the discipline "Basketball," the student must have knowledge of the history of physical culture and sports, the basic theory and methods of physical culture and sports, biomechanics, terminology and rules of entry exercise, drill teams have team management experience, holding exercises group, have the concept of safety in physical culture and sports practice. In studying the discipline, students are introduced to the sport of basketball, learn techniques, master the method of training technique possession, assists, shots, dribbling, technique education of physical qualities and abilities of basketball means learning organization and refereeing of competitions in basketball.
