- Basics of processing of minerals/
Fundamentals of mining geology and mine surveying This discipline is necessary for engineer-geologist for the effective support of geological survey of explored mining deposits and processing of mined minerals. We give base knowledge about system of conduction of various mine works. The main application of the knowledge of the discipline is acquisition of skills in the decision-making in geological exploration and exploitation technology tasks in the most high-tech level, timely execution of adjustment of previous technological parameters when changing the conditions of production works, developing and correcting processes of geological exploration and exploitation, depending on the set of changing geological and technological conditions, to carry out projects in accordance with the requirements of modern industry. To organize the control of developing projects of geological exploration and exploitation. "Fundamentals of mining." This discipline focuses on reviewing the concept of the mining enterprise, deposit opening technologies, preparatory cleansing systems and mining operations in underground and open-cast mining. In the process of studying this discipline students learning to read geological maps, to build conditioning geological maps and sections, stratigraphic column, to correctly describe the geological structure of the area on the geological map in accordance with the scheme of the production report, to know the features of the mapping works in a variety of cases. This discipline is necessary for engineer-geologist for choosing further specialization, based on the obtained information about the basic techniques and methods of development of solid minerals. "Fundamentals of mineral processing," This discipline is necessary for engineer-geologist for the effective support of geological survey of explored mining deposits and processing of mined minerals. We give base knowledge about system of conduction of various mine works. Since more than 80% of ores and coals are enriched in the processing plants, and the main product is concentrates for more deep processing of coals and ores, the engineer-geologist must know the basics about enrichment technology, the possibility of using their mineralogical and structural-textural features for effective concentration of extracted solid mineral. It is also necessary to know the metallurgical industry quality requirements for raw materials. Engineer-geologist is obliged to know of the fundamental aspects of technological evaluation of mineral resources.
