Ekaterina S. Terdi (Mukhacheva) was born on August, 5 1986 in Yurga, Kemerovskaya region, Russia. Her parents are Sergey A. Mukhachev, graduated from the Kemerovo State Medical Academy, military doctor, awarded the Medal of the Order of the Merit for the Motherland II Degree, and Larisa A. Mukhacheva, graduated from the Kemerovo State Medical Academy, radiologist.

In 2003 E. Terdi graduated from the high school, the Multidisciplinary Lyceum of Yurga. Same year she enrolled at the Tomsk State University, the Law School.

In 2008 E. Terdi graduated from the Law School of the Tomsk State University with the degree «Lawyer» (honored Diploma ВСА 0736, registration number 1823). In 2008 E. Terdi also graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Tomsk State University with the degree «English-Russian Translator in the Sphere of Professional Communication (Law)» (Diploma of further education ППК 117037).

In 2008 E. Terdi enrolled in full-time PhD course of the Tomsk State University, the Law School, Department of Civil Law (specialization 12.00.03 – Civil Law, Business Law, Family Law, and International Private Law). Her research advisor was Professor Boris L. Haskelberg, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation (DSc). Due to his state of health in 2010 Professor Daniil O. Tuzov (DSc) assumed the authority over the PhD research of E. Terdi.

In 2010 E. Terdi enrolled in 2-year LLM course of Comparative Law, Economics and Finance in the International University College of Turin (Italy). In 2012 E. Terdi graduated from the latter with the degree of Master of Science in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance.

In January-March 2012 E. Terdi trained in the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (Rome, Italy). In April-June 2012 E. Terdi trained in the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (Hamburg, Germany). The main goals of this training were data collection for the PhD research and learning of Italian and German languages, respectively.

In December 2012 E. Terdi was accepted as a teaching assistant of the Department of Civil Law, the Law School of the National Research Tomsk State University.

December, 17 2013 E. Terdi (Mukhacheva) defended her PhD thesis «Impossibility of performance of an obligation in Russian, European and soft law» and has been given PhD degree (The Order of the Ministry of Education and Science on July, 21 2014 № 462/нк- 7, PhD Diploma ДКН № 208506).

In October 2014 E. Terdi was accepted as an associate professor of the Department of Natural Resources Economics, the Institute of Natural Resources of the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University.

In September 2015 E. Terdi also was accepted as an associate professor of the Department of Civil Law, the Western Siberian Affiliate of the Russian State University of Justice.

E. Terdi annually passes extension courses, participates in Russian (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk) and international (Turin, Trondheim) conferences, Russian and foreign research projects.

In 2010-2011 E. Terdi was one of the co-executors of the Grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the state support of research of young Russian doctors of science. Subject of this research was «Russian and European Contract Law: Problems of Tradition, Reception and Harmonization». The director of this project was Professor Daniil O.Tuzov (DSc). Number of research project – МД-714.2010.6.

In 2012-2015 E. Terdi was one of the co-executors of the EU project «Evaluating policies for sustainable energy investments: towards an integrated approach on national and international stage», which was financed by the 7th Framework Programme of the EU – «People» (Marie Curie Actions).
