Denis M. Tokmashev was born on February 1, 1979 in the city of Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo region in a teachers' family. In 1996 he graduated from high school № 72 of Novokuznetsk with a profound study of the English language. In 2001 he got his bachelor's degree in Philology from the Foreign Languages Department of Novokuznetsk State Pedagogical Institute with the major "teacher of English and German." In 2002-2005 he had his postgraduate at Kuzbass State Pedagogical Academy in Linguistics (Languages of the Russian Federation) and got the degree of Candidate of Philology from Tomsk State Pedagogical University in Typological and Comparative Linguistics. From 2001 to 2014 he was working in Novokuznetsk. Since September 2014 he lives and works in Tomsk. He is married and has a son. Hobbies: reading, music, movies, silence and nature. Interests: East, Siberia, Asia, America.
