Interaction of ionizing radiation with matter, physical methods of medical diagnostics, tomography methods.
Currently, an active work for the creation of materials with a defined X-ray density (Hounsfield units) is in progress. These materials should be suitable for using with the rapid prototyping devices. The research purpose is to investigate a method for creation of the individual tissue-equivalent phantoms for radiation therapy planning.
Investigations are under way aimed to the system creation for measurements of flux density distribution of charged particles in cross section. The method is based on the beam transverse scanning by thin strip at different angles and further mathematical reconstruction of the distribution.
New methods of forming the distribution of flux density electron beams in cross-section are developed.
