The knowledge gained in the course, allow future professionals to navigate the scientific and technical information, use the physical laws and principles, the results of physical discoveries to solve practical problems in their professional activities (for operational exploration, extraction and processing of solid minerals, construction and operation of underground facilities etc.).

An important objective of the course is to educate the listeners of physical and technical culture, which includes: a clear awareness of the need and the importance of training in the physics of technical specialists; ability to think logically, to operate with abstract objects and be correct in the use of physical phenomena and processes for their use in technical calculations; the ability to build physical models of objects and processes; skills of independent work with literature in physics.
