Geological Interpretation of Seismic Data Course Description:
Methods of geological interpretation of seismic data and application in specific geological environments during different geo-exploration stages; fundamental principles of seismic data interpretation; basic seismic-stratigraphic analysis concepts of seismic characters; modern interpretation technologies and techniques and their application in structural imaging and in detailed investigation of hydrocarbon deposits
Laboratory Assignments: 1. Stratigraphic referencing of reflecting horizon based on modeling.
2. Tracing reflecting horizon.
3. Tracing tectonic distrubances.
4. Plotting structural maps.
5. Calculation of seismic attributes.
6. Correlation of seismic attributes to well logging.
7. Forecasting reservoir properties in interwell space
