Geological Interpretation of Geophysical Data Course Description:
Lithological complexes of sedimentary sequences by geophysical well logging methods. Basic principles and targets of field geophysical methods; fundamental principles of systematic analysis of sedimentary formations and field geophysical data; geological fundamental concepts of plotting sedimentary formations based on interpretation of geophysical data; discriminatory criteria for reservoirs; evaluation of reservoir properties and forecasting their distribution to electrometric data.
Laboratory Assignments: 1. Study of lithological complexes of sedimentary formations by geophysical methods.
2. Correlation of well cross-sections.
3. Map plotting of given cross-section interval (structural, paleogeomorphologic, isopach).
4. Plotting maps indicating sand content and reservoir distribution.
