• General English o The aim of learning a foreign language for 1-2 year students of economic and management specialties is to develop the basic proficiency in a foreign language as a means of intercultural communication in the educational and labor, welfare, socio-cultural and socio-political spheres. Realization of this goal involves the formation of elementary sociocultural (everyday and common culture of the target language country and the world community, raising a total culture and outlook of students), linguistic (knowledge of the language) and communication (ability to communicate in a foreign language on communicative sufficient level) competences . • Business English, ESP teaching o The main goal is to create a professionally oriented foreign language communicative competence of students. The training goal – is to achieve the level of professionally focused foreign language communicative competence, sufficient for practical use of the English language (EL) in the future professional activity. The developing goal – is to develop cognitive and research skills, expand professional outlook of students, improve educational autonomy, arise the needs for self-development. • English for distant learners During my work in TPU I deliver classes with groups of students of all courses and masters in the disciplines of basic English, business English, professional English language full-time, evening, correspondence and distance learning. I’m also a consultant for the English part of the final thesis of students and undergraduates. I make plans, develop and pick up additional material for use in the audience, deliver control works and analyze them, make crediting and examination material, prepare students for the Olympics, prepare presentations for the webinars and consultation to students of distance learning; take part in meetings of methodological seminar of the department.
