Study of the effect of laser emission duration on the structure and properties of the surface layer in structural and tool steels. Nano- and millisecond laser machines are used to process the surface layer of steel specimens. Studies are carried out to investigate specific features of structure formation and properties using combined methods of treatment. Combined methods include laser treatment followed by furnace heat treatment.
