In course «Automated Control Theory» theory of mathematical description of continuous linear system of automated control based on transfer functions and state space method are given. Application of matrix algebra for simulation of multivariate system is substantiated. Several linearization methods of non-linear mathematical models that describe dynamic processes in the control system components are presented. To estimate stability of closed loop control systems, which are stated by transfer functions, algebraic and frequency criteria are used. Main and additional quality indexes are considered, classical methods of the linear system synthesis with square-law quality function are given.
