This discipline sets out the scientific basis for the synthesis of high-molecular compounds - polymers using chain and step reactions, reactions in polymer chains. A physical and chemical substantiation of the processes occurring in this process and their quantitative description are given. The modern ideas about the mechanism and kinetics of reactions, about the connection of the monomers structure with the parameters of their reactivity, their phase and physical states are considered.
