Biography Irina I. Tyurina graduated from Kalmyk State University, Philological Faculty. In 1997 she defended a Candidate’s dissertation "Myth of Dionysos in the lyrics of Vyacheslav I. Ivanov", which had been written under the supervision of Anna S. Svarovskaya, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian literature, Tomsk State University. Irina I. Tyurina’s length of scientific and pedagogical experience amounts to 21 years, including 20 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions. Since 2007 she has been working at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, Institute of International Education and Language Communication, Tomsk Polytechnic University, in the capacity of an Associate Professor. From 2007 to 2010 she was an Assistant Head of the Department on teaching and methodology. Since 2008 Irina I. Tyurina has been engaged in organization and holding the State Certificate Testing in Russian as a foreign language for foreign citizens, people without citizenship and migrant workers. In 2010 she received an academic title of Assistant Professor at the Department of Russian as a foreign language. From 2009 to 2012 she was a member of Teaching and Guiding Council of IIE&LC; in 2012-2013 academic year she was a member of the Methodology Council of the Department of Russian as a foreign language. Irina I. Tyurina is an author of 36 scientific and research papers including 28 articles and 8 student training manuals.
