International Young Scientists Conference “Understanding of Entrepreneurship as Essential Part of University Study and Research - Current situation and perspectives” will be held at National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Tomsk, Russia, 19-20 April 2015.
German-Russian cooperation is one of the major topics within the knowledge and technology transfer of the partner countries. Since 2005 special bilateral networks for a variety of subject areas were created to initiate and enforce further cooperation between companies and scientific institutions in both countries. By the dynamic shifts in the international scientific community within the last few years the demand for support of Young Academics grew extremely. To face these needs our networks established special conferences for young scientists. Within this action line Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and East-West-Science Centre (OWWZ) organize Young Scientists Conferences in Tomsk.
This year’s event focuses on the issue of integrating entrepreneurship into universities’ study and research programmes. The organising institutions are interested in developing cooperation in this field, and exchanging information about approaches, efforts and experiences regarding the development of entrepreneurship in participants’ organisations. The event is going to be an important step in this direction, finding out how the topic "entrepreneurship" is embedded in the structures of Russian universities and if there is interest in cooperation in this field. Kassel University itself is top-ranked in Germany for integrating entrepreneurship into study and research programmes.
