Nina Stepanovna Zhukova, born in 1954, graduated with honors from Tomsk State Teachers’ Training Institute (TSTTI), Foreign Languages Faculty in 1977, specializing in “German, English and French”.
In 1983 she graduated from post-graduate school of Moscow State Teachers’ Training Institute of Foreign Languages (now the Moscow Linguistic University), the Department of Theoretical Grammar and History of the German Language with PhD viva examination in specialty 10.02.04 – Germanic languages. In 1992 she was awarded the rank of Associate Professor at the Department of German Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages TSTTI.
After graduation from the TSTTI she worked at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of TSTTI (now Tomsk State Teachers’ Training University) at the Department of German Philology (1977 - 2008). Since 1977 Nina Zhukova has held several positions:
Lecturer – 1977-1985, Senior lecturer – 1985-1990, Associate Professor – 1990-2006, Head of the Department of German Philology TSTTI – 1993 – 2006, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages TSTTI – 2002 – 2006, Professor of the Department of German Philology – 2006 – 2007, Professor of the Department of Romanic – Germanic languages – 2007 – 2008, Associate Professor (part-time) at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication – 1998 – 2008.
She is a member of Tomsk Polytechnic University since 2008: 2008-2013 – Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation Theory of the Institute of International Education and Language Communication, 2013-2015 – Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of Cybernetics, from September 2015 to present – Аssociate Professor at the Dpartment of Foreign Languages of the Institute of Power Engineering.
