Teaching Discipline:
Mathematical modeling methods in geology The purpose of the discipline - to acquaint students with the basics of applied geology methods of mathematical modeling and the peculiarities of their use in various geological conditions. In the course “Mathematical methods modeling in geology” are examined the basis of the probability theory, the distribution laws, the statistics of random variables, checking statistical hypotheses, variance analysis, correlation analysis, multidimensional geological-mathematical modeling, cluster analysis, factor analysis, linear discriminant analysis, multiple regression analysis of the spatial variability model type random functions, harmonic analysis, artificial neural networks, the possibility of their use in modeling properties geological objects.
Geochemical methods of mineral deposits exploration The purpose of the discipline - to acquaint students with the basics of used in geology geochemical methods of prospecting for mineral deposits. The course contains the following major topics: the formation of leakage flux, of secondary and primary halos of mineral deposits; geochemical methods of searches in various landscape conditions; interpretation of geochemical data and use them for the purposes of forecasting and search of ore deposits.
