Course Description - This course presents the fundamentals of computer science with particular emphasis on problems in engineering calculations. It covers principles and algorithms for processing data. Topics include data acquisition, transfer, coding, storage, and protecting. The focus of the course is a series of labs that provide practical experience in processing and presenting data.
- The labs will done in Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft Access® during weekly lab sessions that take place in an electronic classroom. Lectures cover data processing topics relevant to the lab exercises, as well as background on the embedded Microsoft Visual Basic® in the labs.
- This course is assigned to students of bachelor degree programme: "Oil and Gas Business" (21.03.01), "Geological Exploration Technology" (21.05.03).
