In 1996 Tatiana F. Volkova graduated from Tomsk State University with a specialty “Philology”. In 2004 she defended a Candidate’s dissertation “Comparisons in Language of Dialect Linguistic Identity”, that was one of the first works in this field. Since 2004 she has been working at the Russian State Social University (the branch in Tomsk) in the capacity of an Assistant Professor. Tatiana F. Volkova taught a number of academic disciplines to university students, such as Intercultural Communication, Characteristic Aspects of Mass Communication in Publicity Field, Technology of Argumentation, Rhetoric, Stylistics, Literary Editing and others. Among them there were courses of her authorship: Publicity as Hypertext, special course in Linguistic Identity in Public Communication. At the same time she was an academic adviser for students’ scientific research. Since 2007 Tatiana F. Volkova has been working in the capacity of an Assistant Professor at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of International Education and Language Communication of Tomsk Polytechnic University. She is the author of 46 scientific and research papers (including 5 study guides).
