Biography In 1997 Natalya V. Kurikova graduated from Blagoveschensk State Pedagogical University. In 1998-2002 she worked at Amur State University, Russian Philology Department. Those years she participated in the organization of the first folkloric-dialectological practical training for students which aimed at collecting linguistic material about folkloristics, dialectology and toponymy as cultural heritage of Siberia and Russian Far East. In 2005 Natalya V. Kurikova defended a Candidate’s dissertation “The phenomenon of spatial deixis in dialectal speech (as exemplified by lexical items “здесь”, “тут”, “там”)”. The dissertation was written under the supervision of T. A. Demeshkina, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Full Professor, and defended at the Department of Russian Language of Tomsk State University (TSU). Since 2005 Natalya V. Kurikova has been working at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the institute of International Education and Language Communication of Tomsk Polytechnic university. At the same time, between 2006 and 2010, she worked at the Russian Language Department, Philological Faculty of Tomsk state University. She is an author of 40 scientific and research papers and 10 student training manuals.
