Shestakova Vera graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnic University, specialty – Cybernetics in electric power systems in 1990 and began her career as an assistant at the Department "Theoretical bases of electrical engineering". She worked as a senior lecturer from 1995 to 2000. She has been working at the Department "Electric stations” as an associate Professor since 2003. From 1994 to 1999 she studied at extramural post-graduate course. The dissertation on competition of degree of candidate of technical Sciences defended in 2000.
