Course summary: the course refers to an elective part of the undergraduate curriculum interdisciplinary professional module, major 13.03.03 "Power engineering".
The course goal is to develop students’ knowledge about the operation of modern high-efficient energy equipment (including boilers, generators, combustion chambers, heat exchangers for different purposes), in compliance with the requirements of environmental protection.
Course of study core units:
- The emissions of harmful gaseous and solid compounds from power plant;
- Ways to reduce harmful emissions at the stages of fuel preparation and fuel burning;
- Methods of cleaning flue gases from harmful gaseous substances;
- Solid particles from the flue gases.
