Pavel A. Strizhak was born in 03.02.1985. He graduated from school № 22 of Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Kemerovo region with a gold medal (physico-mathematical class). Pavel A. Strizhak took an active part in many sporting events during schooling. So, for example, for five years he was the undisputed captain of the school football team, member of the basketball team of the city, participant and winner of regional and city table tennis competitions. Moreover, since childhood he has been interested in martial arts, particularly karate "Kyokushin-Budokan". Numerous diplomas, certificates, medals, cups confirm an active sports life of Pavel A. Strizhak. All-time in school Pavel A. Strizhak participated in more than twenty city Olympiads in physics, mathematics, chemistry and computer science. In 2002 he was enrolled for the first year of Tomsk Polytechnic University without entrance examinations. Pavel A. Strizhak had excellent grades over the entire period of study at the University. He showed himself active in learning and students' scientific research. The results of participation in competitions of various levels and university awards of students’ works confirmed the advances in the acquisition of knowledge. Pavel A. Strizhak engaged in scientific research work for six years. From 2003 to 2007 he was engaged in scientific research work in the field of heating stations automation, control systems and programming industrial controller systems. Pavel A. Strizhak took part in competitions of different levels. In 2003 and 2004 he took part in competitions in higher mathematics and physics. In 2002 he participated in the Olympiad in descriptive geometry and engineering graphics. In 2003 he took part in a university audition of all-Russian student competition in World history. In 2005 he participated in the Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics. In 2006 he took part in the competition of the automatic control theory. In 2006 Pavel A. Strizhak delivered the report "SCADA - SMART ROOM system" at the VIII National Student scientific and technical seminar "ENERGY: ecology, reliability, safety", where he was awarded th0065 diploma of III degree. In 2006 Pavel A. Strizhak developed a real-time debugging mechanism (profiler) for automatic regulators of research and manufacturing association "VEST", Tomsk, which later was used by engineers when regulator adjustments on real industrial facilities in Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk. In 2006 Pavel A. Strizhak developed five sets of technical documentation for the creation and exploitation of laboratory, testing and intelligent stands to control the room (maintaining the normal living conditions, indoor climate) for work experience internship in the company EleSy, Tomsk. In 2006 Pavel A. Strizhak delivered the report "SCADA-system of laboratory setup "Program control of facility temperature" at the IX National Student scientific and technical seminar "ENERGY: ecology, reliability, safety" where he was awarded the diploma of I degree. In 2007 Pavel A. Strizhak awarded the medal "For the best scientific work" by order of the Federal Education Agency the date of July 27, 2007 № 1356 for completed researches in "Investigation of functioning algorithms of industry regulators". During the training time in Tomsk Polytechnic University Pavel A. Strizhak led an active life, participated in many sports and recreational activities, was a regular member of the football and basketball teams of the Heat and power department. In 2002, he took the second place on the Heat Power Faculty freshmen expansion team in the basketball competition at the Dorm Olympics for freshmen of Tomsk Polytechnic University. In 2005, he took the first place on the Heat Power Faculty expansion team in the football competition at the Dorm Olympics of Tomsk Polytechnic University. In 2006, he took the second place on the Heat Power Faculty team in the course team tournament for the prizes of the trade union committee of students of Tomsk Polytechnic University. In 2007 he graduated from the TPU with honors and a bronze medal. Grateful letter from the dean of HPF TPU and rector of TPU for achievements and contributions to the TPU development were presented. In 2007 Pavel A. Strizhak enrolled in graduate school of TPU, passing the entrance exams as "excellent." With his supervisor, Prof. Dr. Geniy V. Kuznetsov began to investigate the processes of liquid combustible material ignition by heated up to high temperature sources with limited energy reserve. In 2008 Pavel A. Strizhak was the winner of the Tomsk Polytechnic University grants to young scientists. In addition, Pavel A. Strizhak researches during graduate studies were performed by RFBR grant № 06-08-00366-a "Mathematical simulation of heat and mass exchange when fire dangerous liquids inflammation by heated up to high temperatures particles and droplets under phase transition conditions". In 2008 Pavel A. Strizhak passed the qualifying examinations for the Candidate degree with the "excellent" marks, prepared Candidate's dissertation "Heat and mass transfer at fire dangerous liquids ignition by single particle heated up to high temperatures " in specialty 01.04.14 - Thermophysics and Heat Engineering and successfully defended it in the first year. In 2008 Pavel A. Strizhak received the diploma of II degree for an "Ignition of liquid fuels by single "hot" particle" report at the XIV International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Modern equipment and technologies of CTT 2008". In 2009 Pavel A. Strizhak was the winner of the State Duma of Tomsk region Awards in the "Young Scientists" category under the "Natural Sciences" heading and the winner of the Tomsk region in the field of education, science, health and culture in the "Engineering Sciences" category. In intramural competitions in 2009 Pavel A. Strizhak took the second place in the competition "Scientist of the Year" in the TPU in the "Candidate of Science" category and won the competition "Teacher of the Year" in the TPU. Rector’s gratitude for contribution to the TPU development was presented. In 2010 Pavel A. Strizhak was listed in the Gallery of Honor of TPU. In February 2010 Pavel A. Strizhak won the competition of the Russian Federation President grants (a grant MK-330.2010.8) with the work "Investigation of heat and mass transfer with phase transitions and chemical reactions at the liquid fuel ignition by local sources of heat". In October 2010 Pavel A. Strizhak was elected on a competitive basis for the post of docent of Department of Heat and Power Process Automation, Institute of Power Engineering, TPU. In November 2010, the publishing house of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences published the first monograph "Ignition of condensed substances with local heating" of Pavel A. Strizhak in collaboration with Professor Geniy Kuznetsov. In June 2011 at the age of 26 years Pavel A. Strizhak defended his thesis "Heat and mass transfer at the ignition of liquid condensed substances and gas-vapor mixtures by local sources of energy," presented for the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. On February 2012, the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences was created to Pavel A. Strizhak by decision of Presidium of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of Russian Federation. In October 2011 Pavel A. Strizhak attended a refresher course in mobility in education and science at the University of Lisbon, Porto (Portugal). In December 2011, Pavel A. Strizhak became a finalist for the RF Government Prize for young scientists in the field of energy problems in a group of young scientists of IPE. Pavel A. Strizhak won the All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year 2011" according to the "Engineering art of young people" in the "Thermal Engineering" category following the results of work during 2011. In December 2011, as part of a scientific team of IPE Pavel A. Strizhak was award-winning of the Tomsk region in the sphere of education and science. In 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak was listed on the Awards and Recognition Board of the Kirov district of Tomsk. In February 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak won the competition the Russian Federation President grants (a grant MK-620.2012.8) with his work " Investigation of heat and mass transfer with the physical and chemical transformations under the influence of dispersed combustion deterrents on high-temperature flames". On February 2012, the Simulation of heat and mass transfer processes laboratory in IPE was created according to decision of the Academic Council of TPU. Dr. Phys.-Math.Sci.., Associate Professor Pavel A. Strizhak was appointed as a supervisor. In March 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak became the winner of the "Man of the Year in the Tomsk region" competition in the nomination "Breakthrough" and the recipient of the State Duma of Tomsk Region prize in the category "Young Scientists" under the heading "Natural Sciences". In April 2012, Pavel A. Strizhak was awarded the medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences for young scientists in the field of "Physical and technical problems of energy" for the work "Ignition of liquid, gel-like and paste-like condensed substances by sources of limited heat content" in the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). In April 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak was included into the Galleries of successful people of the Russian Federation "Who is who in Russia" and the world "Who is who in the world". In June 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak was proclaimed as the best achiever athlete in TPU among employees in 2011-2012 academic year by the decision of the sports club "Polytechnic". In June 2012 Pavel A. Strizhak was elected on a competitive basis for the post of professor of Department of Heat and Power Process Automation, Institute of Power Engineering, TPU. In February 2013 Pavel A. Strizhak was awarded the diploma of the winner of the "Doctor of the Year in the TPU" competition. In May 2013 Pavel A. Strizhak was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in the field of science and technology for young scientists in a team of TPU. To date, Dr. Phys.-Math.Sci., Professor, Supervisor of Simulation of heat and mass transfer processes laboratory, IPE, TPU, Pavel A. Strizhak is the author of over 100 articles in leading Russian and foreign scientific journals. More than 10 author's certificates for programs and inventions have been received. 3 candidate dissertations were defended under the joint academic advising of Pavel A. Strizhak and Geniy V. Kuznetsov.
