Olga A. Pasko obtained the position of professor in the Department of Geology and Land Management, Institute of Natural Resources, Tomsk Polytechnic University, in June 2010. She is the author (and co-author) of more than 180 scientific works, including 28 patents, and 9 monographs, the editor –in-chief of 7 collections of scientific articles, and scientific supervisor of 5 postgraduates. In 2013, she applied the combination of practical and academic experience to managing a contract on agricultural land inventory in Tomsk oblast.

Before joining TPU Olga A. Pasko worked as a vice-director of the State Scientific Institution “Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and Peat of Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences” (2009-2010). She has a ten-year experience in research management, having served as a vice rector for research and professor of Tomsk Agricultural Institute, the branch of Novosibirsk State Agricultural University (1999-2009). In 2000 she defended her doctoral thesis titled “Ecological aspects of increasing vegetable, flower and potato yield” (scientific consultants: prof. Naplekova N.N. and prof. Yeremenko L.L.).

Her research work was conducted in the Laboratory of photosynthesis in TSU (Tomsk State University) (1994-1998), while academic experience refers to the period of 1990-1993, when she worked as an assistant at TSU, Department of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology.

She studied impact of activated water on bioobjects and the ways to stimulate and inhibit metabolic processes in plants, which resulted in some patents implemented in some Tomsk agricultural farms, with benefit of about 800,000 rubles. This work also led to PhD theses defense in 1984.

Her current scientific interest involves land management, rational use of natural resources, effective, safe and environmental friendly ways of increasing and improving yield crops.

These professional efforts have been recognized with Awards and letters of acknowledgement by Tomsk Governor and the Governor of Novosibirsk oblast.
