Dina F. Mymrina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation Studies at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) teaching courses on the English language, Translation, Sociolinguistics and lecturing on the History of the English Language.

She received her Specialist degree from Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) and the degree of “Kandidat Nauk” in Philology from the same university. Her research interests are focused on General Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Ethnolinguistics, Cultural Anthropology, and contemporary English.

At the same time since her study at the university she has always been interested in Siberian languages (Khanty, in particular). She has written several articles on the Khanty language, published in domestic journals and presented on congresses and meetings. She also participated in scientific expedition to Eastern Khanty in 2006.

Her dissertation was aimed at the description of the case system of the Khanty dialects which she hopes could contribute to the preservation of the endangered Siberian language.
