Research of the fundamental properties of matter, methods of vibrational-rotational high-resolution spectroscopy

Сайт ТПУ The vibrational-rotational spectra of high-resolution are a source of highly accurate information about molecules. Research in this area is an important task as a purely theoretical point of view and a practical one. The results of research by specialists are in demand in such areas as physics and chemistry of molecules, astrophysics, planetary, atmospheric physics, atmospheric pollution monitoring, etc.

To date, the experimenters have accumulated huge amounts of data, which are a very complex analysis, but an interesting task. For example, on the left there is the Fourier spectrum of the reduced methane isotope CH2D2. What about the molecule in this picture and the corresponding data set (line centers and their relative intensity)? In fact, you can extract an enormous amount of useful information.

Methane CH4, is a molecule, a prototype of a large number of organic compounds, and as a result, plays an important role in physical chemistry problems. Information about methane spectra is of interest in the problems of geology, astrophysics, planetary, atmospheric optics, and many others. For this reason, for many years the vibrational-rotational spectra of high resolution methane were and are still the subject of numerous studies.
