Main Scientific Developments - The possibility of electronic excitation decay into pairs of structural defects in alkaline-earth metal fluoride crystals is proved.
- A physical model for evolution of transformation of primary radiation defects into stable ones for ionic crystals is developed under experimental conditions.
- Formation of near-impurity excitons in alkali-halide crystals is shown.
- Formation of nanodefects in highly imperfect crystals of LiF based scintillation materials with polyvalent co-dopants, tungstates and molybdates of metals is demonstrated.
- Intrinsic defects of the crystal are shown to play an active role in transformation of excitation radiation in luminophors.
- 9 doctors of sciences, 32 candidates of sciences and 1 PhD supervised.
- Chairman of the organizing committees of the 8th-17th International Conferences on Radiation Physics and Chemistry of Inorganic Materials since 1993 (10 conferences).
