I was born on 7 November 1948. I graduated Tomsk Polytechnic University in 1972 and it was distributed in Institute of High Current Electronics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. In this institute I worked with problems of switching of energy of big power. I developed spark gaps of megavolt range with nanosecond stability of operation for the Angara-5 accelerator which was used in experiments on the inertial thermonuclear fusion. By results of development the high current megavolt of the operated spark gaps defended the thesis of the Doctor of Philosophy in 1983. From 1988 to 1998 I worked as the director of all-union scientific research institute of the Electrotechnical industry and in parallel I headed laboratory of vacuum spark gaps. High-voltage vacuum spark gaps like RBU-63-20 which replace high current ignitrons was developed and have before them considerable technical advantages. The developed vacuum spark gaps was brought to a mass production and are issued at plants of ELKO (Minusinsk) and ENEKO (Minusinsk). Besides I took active part in development and statement on a mass production of high-voltage vacuum switchgeares. Now high-voltage vacuum switchgeares are issued at four plants of Russia: ELKO (Minusinsk), ENEKO (Minusinsk), SEAZ (Svobodnyi), UEAZ (Ufa). Began work in TPU since 2003 as the associate professor Tekhnik and the electrophysicist of high tension. I defended the dissertation the Doctor of Technical Science in 2005 on the subject "Development of the Switching Equipment for Pulse Equipment and Power". On chair four new lecture courses was put: Electric devices of a high voltage, Power equipment of a high voltage and its reliability, High-voltage test facilities and measurements, High Voltage Engineering. The methodical grant and the abstract of lectures was let out. From 2004 for 2007 installations were created for carrying out a series of laboratory works on the course Equipment of high tension, High-voltage test facilities and measurements, the Power equipment of a high voltage and its reliability, the Electric devices of a high voltage (in total about 60 laboratory works).
By results of the scientific activity which began since 1975 with a position of the junior researcher and proceeds to the present as professor of ESS chair Lavrinovichy V. A. more than 100 scientific works in central press are published, 7 copyright certificates and one patent Russian Federation are received. Now researches in the field of nondestructive control of high-voltage isolation under operating conditions on the example of the equipment of Belovsky state district power station are conducted, works on creation of new small-sized transformers of current and tension are conducted.
