The main scientific interests of professor Korobeynikova are concerned with issues in the field of social philosophy, philosophy of culture, philosophical problems of globalization studies.
She elaborated original methodology of philosophical reconstruction of culture. This methodology is based on non-traditional approach, which introduces new idea of non-linear cultural evolution into of culture.
Recently she is concerned with investigation of the problem of globalization. The pinnacle concerning a discourse about globalization is registered in the 90 of the XXC. In most recent theoretical debates two trends of investigation of this process arise: (i) globalization on the basis of the idea of progress which leads to an homogeneous world (universalism); (ii) globalization on the basis of the representation of the worlds real diversity (multiculturalism).
Professor Korobeynikova creates new concept of soft globalization, namely the globalization which is occurred in a form of mental evolution.
Globalization presently occurs in a strict material (mainly economical) form, and this has both advantages and disadvantages. Advantages: wide spread of modern forms of Western life in the Disadvantages: cases of attempted globalization meet negative responses by nations, ethnic and cultural minorities, religious confessions-all this brings to the political scene phenomena of extremism and terrorism.
An alternative to this is a soft form of globalization that could instead put at its centre the idea of a global citizenship under a new paradigm of democratic global citizenship this could balance or harmonize global and local interests and values, generate equal for members of various, cultures, ethnic groups or minorities acting on the global civil arena.
