• Development of construction principles and models of relay protection and automation of substations with electric motors
• Development of protection and motor damage diagnosis
• Synthesis of algorithms of functioning of the centralized protection elements of electric power systems
• Create a new metal-not relay protection system capable of duplicating the traditional joint on the use of reed switches
• Create a devices of prevention of technogenic accidents at power plants and electric power systems

Number of publications: 316, including 29 in Moscow journals and 25 in the journal Proceedings of the universities Electromechanics and Electricity and 154 inventions and patents, including 12 patents of Russia, Germany and USA.
