Elena A. Darenskaia was born in 1982, Kemerovo region. She graduated from the magistracy of Tomsk Polytechnic University (2006) and was awarded a degree in technical sciences in the field of materials science.

Elena Darenskaya is assistant professor of the department of Materials Science in mechanical engineering at the Tomsk polytechnic university. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Materials Science and had Ph.D. technical sciences at the same academic institution. Darenskaya is the author of 40 publications and one training manual. She took six advanced trainings.
Darenskaya’s teaching experience is seven years. During this time she managed five students who did final qualifying works. Subjects of these works were electron-beam surfacing, thermal processing of metals and metal injection molding. She teaches such disciplines as “Corrosion and protection of metals”, “Basics of metallurgy”, “Scientific basis of surface modification”. Her scientific interests are in the area of the metal science.
Free time Darenskaya likes to spend time with her child, to make various handcrafts and to read.
