- Mechanics of deformation and fracture of heterogeneous media
Work is oriented to computer study of deformation and fracture of heterogeneous media. In the frame particle based method a multi-level numerical models of the mechanical behavior of heterogeneous media, including brittle media with a hierarchical pore structure, are developed. The main patterns of deformation and fracture of these media on different scales under mechanical loading are investigated. - Mechanics of composite materials, computational micromechanics
The work are aimed at the numerical study of the dependence of the integral mechanical response and properties of the composite material on the different parameters of its structure under mechanical loading. Interest attaches also to the computer design and development of composite materials with predetermined mechanical properties.
