L.B. Gil was born in 1963 in the city of Bolotnoe Novosibirsk region. In 1980 she graduated from secondary school № 2 of Bolotnoe and entered the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical Institute, the Mathematics Department. She graduated from the Novosibirsk Pedagogical Institute in 1990. After her ten-year career as a maths teacher, L. Gil decided it was time to begin studying pedagogical psychology as a science. She studied to be a practical psychologist in the education, then she defended her PhD thesis in the Tomsk State Pedagogical University. Currently, she gives lectures on mathematics in the Yurga Technological Institute, takes part in scientific conferences, supervises research activities of students. Lyudmila B. Gil published 60 scientific publications, 3 manual, 1 training complex of the discipline, 10 guidelines.
