The purpose of the discipline "Mining machinery and equipment" is the formation of professional and professional competencies of graduates, ensuring their effective engineering activities in the Earth's interior in the exploration, extraction and processing of solid minerals, research, design and creation of competitive technological machines and equipment for the mining industry.

The main tasks of the discipline are:

- acquisition by students of knowledge about mining machines and equipment, their role in the field of mining production;

- mastering modern methods of calculating the main parameters of mining machines;

- formation of practical skills in the areas of production, technology, organizational and management, related to the use of mining machines and equipment;

- Development of the abilities of the reasoned justification of the expediency of technical solutions and motivations to independently increase the level of professional knowledge and skills in the field of professional activity.
