Since 2007 Elena M. Filippova has been supervising the scientific research of linguistic students within the framework of scientific workshops “Fiction translation as a form of interaction of national cultures” and “Lexical and stylistic peculiarities of engineering discourse in Russian and in English”. Students are encouraged to take part in scientific conferences and research contests on a regular basis. Students of IIE&LC of TPU guided by Elena M. Filippova defended 2 graduate qualification works, published 9 research articles, made more than 15 reports at scientific conferences and received 5 awards of different levels.
