Elena M. Filippova graduated from the Gorno-Altaisk State University, Philology Department. Since 2000 she has been working at the Institute of International Education and Language Communication of Tomsk Polytechnic University. Since 2002 – as an Assistant Professor. Since 2007 Elena M. Filippova has been in charge of the language instruction at the Department and organisation of the University round of the All-Russia Student Open Competition in literature (subject). In 2013 she became an organizer of the University and regional rounds of the All-Russia Student Open Competition in Russian.
In 1999 Elena M. Filippova defended a Candidate's dissertation “Dynamic of Serial Prose and Drama Interaction in Early Works of A.P. Chekhov”, written under the guidance of Emma M. Zhilyakova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Russian and Foreign Literature Department of Tomsk State University.
In 2010 Elena M. Filippova was awarded an academic degree of Assistant Professor for the Department of the Russian Language and Literature.
Elena M. Filippova is an author of 17 scientific and research papers and 4 student training manuals.
