Ivan Egorov was born in Kazan, Russia in 1985. In 2005, he graduated as a technician in the field of "Power plants, networks and systems'' from Tom-Usinsk college of power engineering, Myski, Russia. In 2009, he received a degree in electrical engineering specializing in “Electrical power supply for industrial plants” from the Institute of Electrical Engineering of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk, Russia. Since 2008, he has been working as a research engineer in the Beam and Plasma Technologies Laboratory at Tomsk Polytechnic University. His research interests include the development of spark gaps and pulse power generators for electro-explosive technologies. He is currently developing 0.3-0.5 MeV repetitive high-current electron accelerators for industrial applications. His current research is related to problems with the ejection of nanosecond pulsed electron beams into the atmosphere.
