Intro. Wireless Comm. (Беспроводные ИС) - 2016

  • Advanced Wireless Communications, Spring 2017
  • It is particularly aimed at equipping MSc and Ph.D. students with advanced communication technique from physical and net layer point of view. The course consists of state-of-the-art technologies such as 5G communications and LTE-A introductory material for a successful career in the digital the Introduction to Wireless Communications in Fall semester. During the course, the students will be encouraged for project-based learning. The students can also continue these projects for their respective thesis.
  • Introduction to Wireless Communications (Spring/Fall 2016)
  • The course is targeted towards the last year Bachelor's students, as well as Master's students in Electronics or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, and Technology. The students are assumed to pass basic courses in calculus, discrete mathematics, and probability theory. The student will carry out a short project using MATLAB (test different communications algorithms and techniques). The content involves modulation techniques, antenna design, OFDM/CDMA, channel coding techniques etc.

  • Special Mini Projects on Communication Theory (Fall 2016)
  • Wireless communications technology is widely used in mobile access services. The invention of new techniques has bought a notable improvement in the field of wireless communications. These improvements, in turn, have revolutionized data rate, device size, communication reliability and network connectivity. In this course, we look into the basic communications setup in the physical layer point of view. Basic understanding of probability theory and programming skills in MATLAB or C would be desired. A student will be required to do a small research project on the topic of his/her choice. He/she will also be required to write and present a research report. The project could potentially form a basis for extended thesis projects depending on the student’s performance and interests.
