I was born on August 2, 1951, in city of Leninogorsk (Ridder), East Kazakhstan Region, Kazakh SSR. From 1959 to 1969 I studied at Leninogorsk schools No. 4 and 8. In1969 I entered Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, now Tomsk Polytechnic University, and in 1974 I graduated TPI, the Department of Mechanical Engineering,with a major in “Mechanical Engineering, Metal-Cutting Machines and Tools”. The year after graduation was dedicated to my scientific and pedagogical internship at the Department of Technologiesof Flying Vehicles EnginesProduction at Moscow Aviation Technological Institute (MATI). From 1975 to 1978 I was a PhD Student at MATI. I received PhD Degree after defending the thesis in 1978. For 9 years from 1979 to 1988 I worked as aSenior Lecturer at the Department of Basic Engineering Disciplines at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Ukranian SSR. In 1988 I returned to Tomsk. From that time on to present day I have been working as a Senior Teacher (later as an Associate Professor) at the Department of Automated Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (former Department of Mechanical Engineering, Cutting and Tools).
