S.V. Sokolova was born in 1957 in the city of Yurga Kemerovo region.
In 1974 she graduated from secondary school № 14 of Yurga and entered the Novosibirsk State University, the the mechanics is mathematical Department.
She graduated from the Novosibirsk State Institute in 1980.
She gives lectures on mathematics in the Yurga Technological Institute, takes part in scientific conferences, supervises research activities of students.
