Irina has 14 certificates of implementation and more than 50 publications; from 1995 until present she supervised and performed 15 programs and grants of different levels. From 1997 until present she took participation in more than 20 commercial contracts.
Major research results:
1. A method for processing acoustic signals from phase arrays was proposed that can provide 2-fold increase of its resolution. The study of this method using Huygens–Fresnel principle gave analytical expressions in the Fraunhofer diffraction zone and plots of directional diagram in the Fresnel diffraction zone for calculation of resolution of arrays in two configurations consisting of round and rectangular transducers. The model of scanning and imaging of acoustic field using such arrays was developed.
2. A technique for engineering evaluation was developed that allows accurately determining the geometry parameters of phase arrays.
3. Hardware and software was developed for PAL-121 passive acoustic locator having high resolution and providing real-time imaging of the sources of acoustic emission signals on computer monitor.
4. The acoustic field of measuring transducers in the controlled objects was modeled with due consideration of structural peculiarities of structural material and geometry of the object.
