Summary of experience
Dr. Bibik has over 20 years experience in Technology of mechanical engineering, cutting and cutting tools and is the author of 3 books, more than 70 scientific publications, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, conference papers and 4 patents.
After his graduation from Tomsk Polytechnic University he started to work as a lecturer at the Mechanical and Manufacturing Department of Yurga branch of Tomsk Polytechnic University. From 1996 to 1999, being a PhD candidate of Tomsk Polytechnic University, he combined teaching activities with theoretical and experimental researches in the field of Technologies and equipment of mechanical and physicotechnical manufacturing. Throughout his PhD studies he was doing his thesis on the Forecasting of Hard-alloyed Cutting Tool Resistance According to Thermal Diffusivity. In 2000 he defended his thesis, and his project was supported by the Russian Federation President grant for young Russian scientist. In 2003, he became an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Yurga branch of Tomsk Polytechnic University. Dr. Bibik is currently a Deputy Head for academic affairs of Yurga Institute of Technology of National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University.
Dr. Bibik᾿s research interests are arrangement of curriculums and programs, technology of mechanical engineering, metal cutting, particularly tool life predicting based on physical properties of cutting tool material.
Other main interests of Dr. Bibik are Modern Learning Technologies in Vocational Education and Management in Vocational Education. Throughout the period he has been serving as a Deputy Head for academic affairs.
