Education:In 1988, Yuri Ananyev was qualified as an engineer with a degree in «Geology and exploration of mineral resources».
In 1996, he enrolled in postgraduate school TPU.
In 1999 he defended dissertation «Metasomatism And Gold Mineralization In Black Shale Formation Of West Kalba» for the degree of candidate of geological-mineralogical sciences.
In 2002, Yuri Ananyev was qualified as an engineer in the specialty «Information Systems».

He is currently working associate professor at the department of geology and exploration of mineral deposits in the Tomsk Polytechnic University.
