Application Procedures

Admission criteria:

  1. Undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Good proficiency in English.
  3. Participation in all project activities during the entire period (until September 2016).

To participate in the project, you need to complete a short questionnaire and to prepare a description of a unique place/location in Fort Collins or areas around it (these might include monuments, houses, cafes, natural parks, places associated with famous people or culturally important events, etc.). Places associated with the marijuana industry may not be targeted in this project. Please feel free to contact the project director with any questions about the proposal prior to submitting your materials on or before the date specified in the information letter.

The most interesting, unique, and creative proposals will be selected for the next round of review.

Proposal Requirements:

Your description of a unique place/ location should:

  • be written in English;
  • be as long as specified in the information letter;
  • feature information about a place/ location in (or around) your area that might be interesting to young people;
  • reflect the uniqueness of a place/ location and motivate readers to visit the place and/or learn more about it.

You are very welcome to include visuals (e.g., illustrations, photos, drawings, art) to support your proposal. All information sources used in the proposal should be cited.
